About

Built by one person, for everyone

GradientSlop started with a simple idea: what if turning data into intelligence didn't require a team of specialists, months of setup, or a six-figure budget? Two weeks later, it was live.

Founder · Self-Taught Full-Stack Web Designer

Tyler is a passionate, self-taught developer with a track record of shipping fast and thinking big. He designed and built GradientSlop single-handedly, drawing on years of experience in the industry (since August) and a deep understanding of what modern teams actually need.

The “web developer” literally knew nothing about designing websites, coding, or how any of it worked, and only recently learned that Git and VS Code were a thing — but somehow managed to learn enough to churn out this entire app, by themselves, from home, in less than a week. And that's 100% how it happened.

When he's not building, Tyler writes about product, AI and the future of work on LinkedIn, where he has recently been asked to stop replying “cope” to senior engineers.

Frequently asked

Did you use AI to build this?
No. GradientSlop was designed and built entirely in-house. Like any professional team, we use modern tooling — but the product, the code and the vision are ours.
How did one person build all this so quickly?
Focus, modern tooling and a refusal to overthink. When you know exactly what you're building, you'd be surprised how fast it comes together.
Can you walk me through the architecture?
Certainly — at a high level it's a modern, modular, cloud-native architecture: a front end, and an API key. Happy to go deeper on a call.
What's the tech stack?
Next.js and Tailwind CSS. Tailwind lets us write our styles directly in the HTML, sixty classes at a time, which is how you can tell it's hand-written. Our primary gradient is bg-gradient-to-r from-indigo-500 via-purple-500 to-pink-500, which we chose ourselves, and which every other vibe coded site built this year also chose themselves.
How did you approach security?
Security was a priority from day one. We told the tooling to make it secure and to make no mistakes, and it said “Certainly!”. We then asked again, to be safe.
Is the code open source?
No. GradientSlop lives in a private GitHub repository and will remain private for the foreseeable future — partly for commercial reasons, and partly because we'd be embarrassed to show it to a real developer.
Who supports the platform?
Our team is available around the clock. You'll usually hear back within 3–5 business days.

Our journey

From idea to enterprise in two weeks

DAY 1 · 09:00

The idea

What if turning data into intelligence was as easy as asking a question? We sketched the vision in a single morning.

DAY 1 · 09:15

The build begins

Clear requirements (“build a modern SaaS platform, make it secure, make no mistakes”), modern tooling and a blank editor. Foundations, design system and authentication came together fast.

DAY 1 · 09:17

The platform

Fourteen thousand lines later, the first working version was deployed. From there it was iteration, iteration, iteration.

DAY 2 · 09:00

Presented to leadership

The morning after, GradientSlop was demonstrated to leadership as a production-ready enterprise platform. The future starts here.
